MASTEL Institute is an independent and non-profit organization in Jakarta as a subsidiary of MASTEL Indonesia. MASTEL Institute focuses on strategic policy-knowledge-oriented studies on Indonesia’s telematics (telecommunications, broadcasting, information technology) ecosystem and industry in Indonesia.
MASTEL Institute wants to contribute to the improvement of policy-making through policy-oriented research, Big Data evidence-based, stakeholder dialogue, and public participation. Instituting research and studies are channelled in various forms as an independent input to government, universities and research institutions, civil society organizations, media, and business actors.
The MASTEL Institute Virtual library (MIVL) preserves and provides access to a rich, diverse and enduring source of knowledge to inform, inspire and engage you in your intellectual and creative endeavours.

President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) said that the most basic adaptation of technology utilizes digital advancements. Digital learning is not only used to facilitate teaching activities by internal lecturers to their students. It is also essential to encourage students to learn with anyone, anywhere, about anything related to Indonesian university educational institutions need to strengthen their position as technological education institutions. President Joko Widodo made the statement in his opening address at the 2021 Indonesian Rector Forum (27/7/2021). President Jokowi highlighted the importance of encouraging higher education institutions to involve and collaborate more with industry makers and practitioners.
MASTEL Indonesia as the founder of MASTEL Institute and as Indonesia’s center of expertise excellent in the digital industry, will be part of President Jokowi’s above vision and policy related to digital transformation. MASTEL Indonesia understands that digital transformation is essential because digital transformation is one of the primary keys to Indonesia’s solution to “reborn” from the Covid-19 pandemic impacts. There are four strategic programs in accelerating digital transformation, including digital infrastructure, digital government; digital society; and digital economy. The 1st, 2nd, and 4th programs are factually visible, measurable with a standard disciplinary method. Furthermore, digital society as the 3rd program is a program that is fully loaded with mindsets or soft skills, which substantial base on behavioural requirements that underlie the other three successful strategic programs in digital transformation.
